The Permanent Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the European Union met on December 1 with Deputy Director General of the Directorate General Migration and Home Affairs at the European Commission Mr Olivier Onidi.

DG HOME (European Commission) is responsible for the enormous and complex migrations dossier. DG HOME activities were presented and Deputy Director General Onidi expressed his high appreciation for the Order of Malta’s worldwide commitment to the various humanitarian programmes and his willingness to organize a working seminar in the second half of February 2024 with an Order’s delegation.

Other issues were discussed (availability of the list of the European Union of Medical Specialists (EUMS) Home Office correspondents; participation in the DG HOME annual meeting on false travel documents).
